Dear Mrs. Dace and students,

I think it is wonderful that you are blogging about the book Sounder. It has been a while since I read this book, but it's a classic book that everyone will love.

I have felt lonely or that nothing else could go wrong. It is an awful feeling, but is normal. The important thing is to know that someone loves you, and will be there for you, even when it feels like everything is wrong. You should always find someone you can talk to (such as a parent, grandparent, teacher, or friend). Just sharing your feelings can sometimes help. Life is rough, but we go through hard times to learn a lesson and help us in the future.

I can't wait to see if you discover what lesson the boy learns from his hard times!

Your friend,
Miss Cole
