Pages 11-20
At the end of Chapter 1, the boy notices two things: he smells ham bone that he has only smelled twice in his life and his mother is humming, which she only does when she is worried. My first question is why do you think his mother is worried when they have the precious ham bone? My second question is do you have any nervous habits that signal to others that you are scared or worried about something? Explain! :)
Pages 1-10
Have you ever felt the "night loneliness" that the boy and his mother experience on page 9? How do you get over your "night loneliness"?
